Facilitation of Adventurous Experiential Learning

Certificate in Adventurous Experiential Learning – Camp Facilitator.

This course equips participants with a strong theoretical foundation, alongside practical tools for using outdoor and adventure-based experiences to facilitate reflection and behavioural change.

The material includes topics such as;

– Whole Brain Facilitation (Profile completed).
– Risk and Challenge.
– Adventure Education.
– Challenge Education.
– Experiential Education.
– Adventure Programme Characteristics.
– Adventure applications: Recreation, Education, Development, Therapy (Trauma Facilitation).
– Instruction – teaching – presentation skills.
– The method and practice of teaching, especially as an academic subject or theoretical concept.
– The method and practice of teaching adult learners.
– Reflection.
– Ethics.

After completing this qualification, students will be empowered with the skills to lead groups and facilitate learning through basic Adventure-Related Experiential Learning experiences.
