NEXT: Four days to see your future differently
Your child’s future should not be a source of anxiety. It should be an adventure waiting to unfold.
NEXT is an immersive four-day experience for young people who are unsure about what to study, which career path to follow, or what comes after school. Away from everyday noise and expectations, they will gain the confidence, self-awareness and practical direction to take their next step.
This is not about forcing a perfect plan. It is about helping learners ask better questions, discover what matters to them, and see new possibilities for their future.
What learners will discover
Through inspiring talks, real-world experiences, outdoor activities and reflection, learners will:
• Understand how they naturally think and what energises them through their NBI profile
• Explore identity, purpose, values and the kinds of problems they are drawn to solve
• Gain a fresh perspective on South Africa, global change and emerging opportunities
• Learn how artificial intelligence and innovation are reshaping the world of work
• Develop an entrepreneurial mindset: spotting opportunities, solving problems and creating value
• Build an authentic personal brand and learn to tell their own story
• Create a practical personal roadmap for what comes next
More than a course
Hosted in the African bush at Phahama Lodge, NEXT combines learning with adventure. Learners will take part in nature walks, journalling, campfire conversations, game drives, business visits, collaborative challenges and hands-on problem-solving.
Every experience is designed to help them think differently about themselves, the changing world around them, and the opportunities they can create.
A moment for families to celebrate
The programme concludes on Sunday with learner presentations. Parents, family members and mentors are invited to hear each learner share their reflections, their vision for the future and the practical steps they plan to take next.
It is a meaningful celebration of growth, confidence and possibility.
Not more information. More confidence.
The future belongs to young people who are curious enough to explore, courageous enough to take the first step, and ready to create what comes next.
